Ten Reasons to Say “Thanks but no Thanks” to Sarah Palin (The 2008 Election)
1) She’s reluctant to meet the press. Palin hasn’t even been elected, and she’s alreadyeliminating press conferences!!!Tim Russert help us! 2) She is an NRA member, and a gun advocate.Palin seems oblivious of the efforts of so many communities to limit gun access and gun violence. 3) She abuses her power. She fires from public service individuals who are at odds with her or with members of her family. 4) She wasn’t focused on the Iraq War. Now that her son is going to Iraq, she seems to be payingmore attention. 5 )She’s not concerned about global warming and the environment. Fourhurricanes have already threatened the U.S. coast this summer, but Governor Palin is unaware of any human contribution to the climate crisis. 6) She opposes family planning and sex education.Having unlimited and unplanned children is not a sustainable position, especially in a world suffering from a food crisis and an AIDS epidemic. 7) She’ll want to removeevolution, environmental science, and reproductive science from the educational curriculum. Can we maintain our technological edgeif the education of our children is shortchanged? 8) She is too“Alaskapalin” in her views . Her “Alaskapalin “ vision is very narrowminded. Can she make the transition from the independent state of Alaskato the United States of America? 9) She appeals to those who are comfortable with religious extremism and ignorance (accentuated with a perky smile and lipstick) as political ideology.Hopefully most Americans will reject her “pitbull” charmand embrace Obama’s message of hope. 10)She is simply not trustworthy. We say thanks but no thanks, Sarah Palin.
