Men Kontre Pou Pestel /Joining Hands for Pestel is a non-profit philanthropic association created for the purpose of supporting culture, the environment, education, health, and the overall needs of  Pestel.

The Board of Directors of the Association are:

Among the projects planned by MKP are:

Enlarging of the association to include national and international participation

Restoration of the community cistern "Nan Ti Fon"

Improvement of the road "Nan Kanp"  leading to Fort Reflechi

Construction of an overlook from which to view the sea and the surrounding area reaching all the way to Portail Fon Bel

Creation of a gallery of notable persons of Pestel

Construction of a marina

Construction of a public park with a playground  for children

Construction of a theater named after Marie Bellegarde

Rethinking and celebrating anew traditional holidays and festivals such as Fetes de la Mer, Nwèl, Rara, Kanaval, and Fèt Chanpèt


Among the  long term projects planned by the association are:

  • The establishment of electricity
  • The construction of a Court House
