Haiti Honors the Victims of the January 12th Earthquake
One month after the devastating earthquake of  January 12th, the people of  Haiti gathered to mourn the dead and to prepare themselves for the rebuilding of the nation. In a ceremony honoring both the Christian as well as the Traditional Vodou Faith of Haiti, spiritual leaders dressed in white offered words of comfort and encouragement to the large crowds gathered to show their respect.

President Renee Preval addressed the people, and urged them to dry their tears and to prepare for rebuilding.  He assured the population that Haiti would not perish.
