Sogebank and USAID Launch the Haitian Diaspora Marketplace
To encourage  and facilitate  diaspora investment  in Haiti,  US AID is partnering with Fondation Songebank to  create the Haitian Diaspora Marketplace. This two year program will provide financial as well as technical assistance to members of the Haitian diaspora who wish to invest in such areas as agriculture, tourism, assembly, and communications.  Applicants with viable business plans may be able to get access to start-up funds through the Haitian Diaspora Challenge Fund. Visit the USAID website ( www.usaid.gov ) for more information.
