More Haitian-Americans are Running for Political Office
 
Wyclef Jean is not the only Haitian-American poised to make history as an elected official. On August 24th, voters in South Florida will have an opportunity to elect the first Haitian-American Congressman or Congresswoman. Many candidates of Haitian ancestry are competing for the District 17 Congressional Seat. The  Broward County 2010 Primary Election Official Sample Ballot contains the names of all the candidates running for the seat:
