There are also some other ways to touch base with us. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Read/learn about Haiti and its people,
  • Create your own Haitian Monetary Fund.  Saving a dollar a day will give you $365  for the year - enough to build a playground, a cistern, a restroom, or support a child through school.
  • Visit Haiti often and help (teach, plant trees, open a clinic) as you vacation.
  • Send funds directly to loved ones in Haiti. They know best how to use it. The diaspora already sends more than a billion dollars a year! That's about 3 million dollars a day! We do a lot, but need to do more.
  • Join or start a Coalition of Activists Supporting Haiti (CASH). Help shape American foreign policy towards Haiti. Lobby for  TPS and for the elimination of Haiti's debt.
  • Promote companies and merchants  investing  in Haiti.
  • Vote!  Wherever you are, vote! The Diaspora has much to offer. Demand dual citizenship. It's your Haitian birthright.
